After realising the 1TB built in Hard Drive on my video editing Laptop was full to bursting, I spent the last weekend going through it, deleting off old footage I’ve already used, backing up things I want to keep (remember to back up, Kids!) and generally being bored in the process.
The flip side of this is I have found loads of long since thought lost footage, including that the the end of the video below, showing the final judges decision of (and crowds reaction to) the Nottingham area finals of “The Horse Factor” – a National singing competition organised by Greene King’s Hungry Horse chain of pubs.
The competition consisted of a couple of heats in your local Hungry Horse pub, followed by a county final (Nottingham for me – held at The Water’s Edge NG7 1GX), with the grand finals being held in London. The ultimate prize was £10,000 and a day at a top recording studio, so the competition was very tough!
Ultimately the competition was won by Sarah Eden-Winn, aged 26 from the Bristol area. You can read the story of that victory in her local paper HERE.
